My client has a requirement for an experienced Network Manager to join their project.

This role involves managing the intricate network infrastructure that spans both France and the international landscape, connecting affiliates and subsidiaries worldwide.

The Network Manager must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of existing and emerging network technologies, understand the network and telecommunication market, and be proficient in managing multiple partners. Moreover, they are responsible for effectively leading their team, devising task plans, and providing regular task status reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the executive team to contribute to IT strategy development and execution.
• Formulate and implement strategies for enhancing infrastructure capacity, encompassing short and long-term plans.
• Conduct thorough reviews and offer support for network strategies prior to their implementation.
• Foster interdepartmental coordination to develop processes and policies.
• Efficiently manage and guide staff, ensuring timely task completion and facilitating the assessment process.
• Prepare and negotiate reports concerning indoor and outdoor network services.
• Act as the primary liaison between suppliers and ongoing projects.
• Coordinate, oversee, and execute software and hardware upgrades across the network.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues, evaluating LAN and WAN performance and addressing deficiencies.
• Install and maintain LAN and WAN, alongside managing security network technologies and other technological backups.
• Supervise user access to the network, ensuring security and compliance.
• Develop backup and disaster recovery plans for network emergencies.
• Plan network infrastructure to accommodate new applications and services.
• Train network staff to provide support to end users effectively.
• Oversee the procurement and maintenance of network equipment and infrastructure.
• Integrate mobile devices into the organization's network, covering both organizational and personal devices (BYOD).
• Collaborate with equipment vendors and personnel to facilitate installations and relocations as required.
• Enhance processes for effective message system administration.
• Develop design plans and conduct tests to support disaster recovery initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate hardware and software upgrade processes.
• Analyze critical business activities, assess the scope and impact of potential risks, and recommend system upgrades and offsite programs for recovery.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of the OSI model.
• Demonstrated experience in various networking concepts, including Directory Services (eg, Windows 2000+ AD, LDAP), Systems (eg, UNIX, Windows, MS Exchange), and Internet Protocols (eg, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL).
• Proficiency in working with different network equipment, such as Switches, Routers, Firewalls, etc., for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with various network types, including LAN, WAN, WiFi, SDWAN, and more.
